April has arrived and we want to introduce you to two new artists we think should be on your radar. This month’s Ones to Watch artists include the alt-rock-hip hop sounds of K.Flay and the pop-punk duo Diet Cig.

K.Flay

There's no such thing as a sophomore slump when it comes to Kristine Meredith Flaherty, aka K.Flay. Her album Every Where Is Some Where, mixes together hip-hop, lo-fi indie rock, and electronica with deep, introspective lyrics that cut to the bone. The result is a distinctly fresh sound. Starting this month, she begins a worldwide tour with stops in Australia, Germany and the U.K. before hitting the U.S. summer festival circuit.

Diet Cig

Diet Cig has been steadily creating a buzz over the past year with their well-received EP Over Easy and blazing performances at this year's SXSW festival. Known for their energetic live performances and pointed lyrics, this pop-punk duo has won over the hearts of many. This month the band released their debut full-length, Swear I’m Good At This, stocked full of candy-filled power chords, stinging drums and tales of life's roller coaster ride. Diet Cig is the epitome of now. Currently, in the midst of a U.S. tour, Diet Cig will also be hitting stages throughout Europe this fall.

We are excited to feature K.Flay and Diet Cig as part of our Ones to Watch series. Stay tuned throughout the month for custom playlists from each artist, video features and more.
