Discovering a new artist can add that special spark to your day — or, who knows? — even change your life. At Napster we know that feeling and to help ignite that spark, we’ve launched our emerging artist program “Ones to Watch.”

Starting in February, we will be highlighting buzzworthy and up-and-coming artists every month with premiere programming of their new albums, songs featured in custom playlists, exclusive artist playlists, our #SOTD (Song of the Day) program, in-depth artist profiles and more.

Kicking things off are two amazing artists we think you’ll come to know and love: Rag’n’Bone Man and Sampha, who each have plenty of buzz swirling around them as well as noteworthy new releases.

Rag’n’Bone Man

Rag’n’Bone Man has built a name for himself the past couple of years, first as the resident vocalist of rap’s Rum Committee and later with his 2014 release Wolves, the critically acclaimed Disfigured EP, and his 2016 viral hit “Human.” Like many things, it all began with the blues and that continues to define Rag’n’Bone Man’s distinct sound and lyrics.

Sampha

As one of the U.K.’s most enigmatic artists, 27-year-old Sampha has lent his vocal, production and songwriting talents to a wide range of stand-out releases. From homegrown contemporaries such as SBTRKT, FKA twigs and Jessie Ware, to superstars like Drake, Solange, Kanye West and, most recently, Frank Ocean, Sampha has quietly become an influential and in-demand collaborator. Now, with the release of his debut album Process, the time has come for the London musician to tell his own story.

Napster is excited to be working with these amazing artists who are on the verge of making a big splash and we also aim to help them reach a larger global audience. Be sure to watch out for updates and other “Ones to Watch” artists here on the Napster Blog and our social channels, including @Napster on Twitter, @Napster on Instagram, and Like Napster on Facebook.
