Music has always been about telling stories, but rarely do you get to hear the stories about the creation of your favorite songs. In this Fall’s new Soundbreaking: Stories From the Cutting Edge of Recording Music, PBS gives us that chance to hear stories from the direct people involved in the music we know and love of the past four decades.

Produced in association with The Beatles’ legendary producer, the late Sir George Martin, Soundbreaking chronicles the history of music recording and producing. Organized thematically, each episode features scores of original interviews with some of the most celebrated recording artists of all time, from Paul McCartney and Roger Waters to Adele and Questlove, as it offers a behind-the-scenes look at the interaction between performer and technology in creating unforgettable music.

To get you pumped for the Soundbreaking series, we have worked with the filmmakers to create playlists featuring songs from each episode. Follow the Soundbreaking profile to access and listen to the playlists for all eight episodes!

Make sure to tune in to Soundbreaking starting Monday, November 14th on PBS. (Check local listings)
