The heat hasn’t let up in the Live Music Capital of the World, and neither have the incredible performances taking place throughout Austin. Here’s a few important things we want to impart to you:
**Anderson .Paak Is Taking Over — And Loving Every Minute of It **
Anderson .Paak will make you jealous. He can sing better, rap better, dance better, drum better, write songs better and dress better than you. He’s also probably cooler than you too. But don’t sweat it — he’s charming and wants you to know he loves you. Beyond that, he is clearly enjoying his ascent to the top the of music world and his live performance proved that he is poised for nothing less than greatness.

A Hug From Soul Singer Charles Bradley Will Change Your Life
Charles Bradley took the city of Austin to church yesterday during his performance at Stubb’s. The man blessed every soul in attendance with his voice and songs, then capped it all off by embracing a few of us chosen ones in the front row. Seeing Bradley will make you feel good, but getting hugged by him will change your life.

Chicano Batman Will Be Your New Favorite Band
Los Angeles’ Chicano Batman will become your new favorite band after you see them perform. Trust me on this. You will dance, you will shout, you will scream, “Otro!” at the end of their set and you will go see them perform every single time they grace a stage in your city. Seriously, you’ve got to see this band — you won’t regret it.

**Margo Price is the Real Deal **
No bones about it, Margo Price is a bona fide country music star. Brace yourself for March 25 when she drops her new album, Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, which likely become one of the year’s most talked about country music albums. She writes catchy songs, sings her heart out, has a killer band and knows how to deliver a crowd-pleasing, foot stomping romp of a set full of country slappers you will want to hear again and again. Yee-haw!

Vince Staples Challenges You to Keep Up With Him
Vince Staples comes at you strong. He’s brash, in your face, will relentlessly challenge you, and wants you to get crazy. He incited a full on mosh pit at the end of his set and reveled in pushing the crowd into a state of frenzy. There’s no denying that Staples works when he performs — he wants the crowd to do the same, or at the very least try to keep up with him.

Mitski Will Crush You
Mitski levels you like a bulldozer. Their songs slowly engulf you, wrapping you in a blanket of fuzz and before pulverizing with the weight of gorgeous melodies and throbbing drum beats. There is so much dynamic range in Mitski’s music, with the low register of the bass playing counterpoint to angelic vocal lines, but when it’s all sewn together, it’s the sonic wave of distortion and dark brilliance that make this trio so powerful.
