Windows 8 music lovers, we’re here for you! Today at Microsoft’s Build Developer Conference, we announced the brand new Rhapsody app for Windows 8, giving Windows 8 users access to all their music on the go. The new app is available now from the Windows Store.
Beautifully designed with an intuitive touch navigation interface, the Rhapsody app for Windows 8 features deep search integration, snap mode for easy multitasking and pinning for quick and easy access to music.
Finding artists, albums, tracks and recommended playlists has never been easier with the Windows 8 Search charm. Type in an artist name, category, track or album and results in the side bar instantly take you deep into Rhapsody’s catalog of more than 22 million songs. You can also filter new releases by genre by using the Genre icon, which will aggregate a top level list of new releases by genre from country to indie to rock, we’ve got you covered.
Want to listen to music and jump to another app or work on a document at the same time? No problem, put Rhapsody in Snap Mode to launch a new application and run them side by side to continue listening to your favorites. You can also pin your favorite albums to the Start screen using the pin to start feature which will create a shortcut directly on your Windows 8 device’s Start screen.
More great things to come from the Rhapsody team in the coming weeks – so come back soon!
